Just a quick hello from a new forum member.
I look forward to delving into all the local history information, especially the really ancient stuff. I'm often to be seen on the local moors pointing out strange rocks and mounds to my somewhat less interested wife. Having been in textiles for 25 years, at S&N Brierfield before it closed, I like the old industrial stuff too. I look forward to posting but I'm afraid that I will probably have far more questions than answers.
Cheers for now.
Ian

Welcome to the site Ian from a namesake. Ask away whenever you need to, we are generally a friendly bunch and don't bite with the odd exception. A lot of expertise available on the local history side.
You will have your work cut out reading through all of Stanley's stuff!

Welcome Ian. You could start by reading the Calf Hall Shed Company minute books. Only 700 pages, that'll keep you quiet for a while.... Research Topics has some good stuff in it.
