In LTP 78/AB/04 Billy Brooks talks about a Jack Trayford being the firebeater at Long Ing Shed before David Akrigg came. Says he wasn’t a good firebeater. (This could have been about 1900)

LTP. 79?AD/12. Horace Thornton talks about the load on the boilers at Victoria Mill in 1945 and the fact that they were burning over 60 tons of coal a week. Charlie Sculthorpe was the firebeater and Horace said he couldn’t make steam. He left and went work at Armorides for more money.
