Will of Ann Edmondson. 1861
August twelfth one thousand eight hundred and sixty one.
This is the last will and testament of me Ann Edmondson widow of the late Thomas Edmondson of Lidget Flatt in the township of Brogden in the parish of Barnoldswick and West Riding of the county of York. First I direct that all my just debts and funeral and testament expenses be paid by my executors.
I give to my granddaughter Mary Ann Edmondson daughter of my son William Edmondson my furniture, silver plate and bed linen that I possess for her own absolute use and benefit except those things hereafter mentioned. I give to my son Thomas Edmondson my rible(sic)[bible?] round hay(sic) and oak cupboard. I give to my daughter Ellen Calverley my china. I give to my three sons William and James and Henry Edmondson each one shilling. I give to
my grandson John Heap son of my daughter the late Nancy Heap one
shilling. I give to my two daughters Fanny Wigglesworth and Mary Ann Heap
each one shilling. I give to my granddaughter Eleanor Edmondson one shilling. I appoint Mary Ann Edmondson daughter of my son William Edmondson and John Wigglesworth joint executors of this my last will and testament whereof I have set my hand and seal this twelfth day of August one thousand eight hundred and sixty one.
Signed sealed and delivered by the testator Ann Edmondson in the presence
at her request and the presence of each other have subscribed our names
as witnesses.

At her Majesties Court of Probate on the 9th day of August 1862 the will of
Ann Edmondson late of Lidget Flatt in the township of Brogden in the parish
of Barnoldswick in the county of York, widow deceased was proved by the oath of John Wigglesworth one of the executors named in the said will
he having been first sworn duly to administer, (power being reserved of
making a like grant to Mary Ann Waite wife of Robert Waite formerly
Edmondson, spinster, the granddaughter of the said deceased (being the
daughter of her son William Edmondson) and Thomas Edmondson the
son of the said deceased the other executor named in the said will when
they shall apply for the same)
