Post by Stanley »

GEORGE DEMAINE  THE FAMILY TREE OF
                                                   Born 1591-1611 Died 1669

The information for this family tree was supplied by Nic Wilson of the “Wharfedale Family History Group” and by Martin Demaine of the “Manchester and Lancashire Research Centre”.

The registers for Bolton Abbey prior to 1669 have been lost and only a few oddments of earlier Bishop's Transcripts remain so it is almost impossible to trace back before1689. DEMAINEs are recorded in various documents back to the 16 cent. that we have seen, and possibly earlier, but relationships are difficult to establish. (Martin Demaine 2002)
