The SEVEN STARS, in Barnoldswick in the County of York,
On Thursday the 14th Day of December next,
AT FOUR o'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON
(Under such conditions as will be then produced)
The wood now marked and numbered with scribes for falling, in the several
Farms in the occupation of Thomas Thornber, Peter Hartley, John Lowcock, John Waite, William Cowgill, the Miller, situate within Coats,Barnoldswick,
and Salterforth in Craven, consisting chiefly of Ash, Elm, and Sycamore
Trees, many of them remarkably large and fine wood, well adapted for all
kinds of turnery, print blocks &c. and some Oaks and Alders.
IN THE FOLLOWING LOTS,
In Thomas Thornber's Farm,
LOT 1. 56 Trees, beginning with No.1 and ending with No. 56, and 40 ciphers
2. 21 Trees, beginning with No.57, and ending with No.77 and 23 ciphers
3. 30 Trees, beginning with No.78 and ending with No. 108(No. 33 being
a Beech Tree not being included) and 65 cyphers.
4. 40 Trees, beginning with No.109, and ending with No.148 and 27 ciphers
5. 43 Trees,beginning with No.149 and ending with No.191 and 141 ciphers
In Peter Hartley's Farm,
6. 25 Trees, beginning with No.1 and ending with No.25, and 134 ciphers
7. 52 Trees, beginning with No. 26 and ending with No. 77 and 37 ciphers
8. 36 Trees, beginning with No. 78 and ending with No. 112 and 39 ciphers.
9. 30 Trees, beginning with No. 113 and ending with No. 142 and 11 ciphers.
In John Lowcocks Farm, and Peter Hartley's Farm below the canal.
10. 21 Trees, beginning with No. 1, and ending with No. 21 and 6 ciphers.
In John Waite's Farm
11. 33 Trees, beginning with No. 1 and ending with No. 33 and 99 ciphers.
In William Cowgill's Farm
12. 12 Trees, beginning with No. 1 and ending with No. 12.
In the Mill Field's
13. 8 Trees, beginning with No. 1 and ending with No. 8 and a quantity of old wood
at Coats Hall.
Great part of the wood may be gotten, with little trouble, to the LEEDS and LIVERPOOL
Canal, which passes through the estates, and there are good roads lying contiguous, by
which all of it may be conveniently taken away.
JOHN WAITE of Greenberfield will shew the wood, and other particulars may be had at
Mr BOLTON'S office in Colne.
