Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Morning Late today, I forgot to charge my ipad. What a horrendous day yesterday. If it was sunny the wind was wild but most of the afternoon it rained, smashing whats left of the flowers in the garden. More of the same all week this week, and cold! I am back into the clothes I wear in March. So due ...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Sounds good Maz. I arranged family and friend get togethers here for both my 50th and 60th birthday celebrations which were both enjoyable but hard work and I can't face doing anything like that again! My brother and sister in law have suggested coming up to stay for a couple of days now restrictio...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Tiz, I don’t think the report I read was for Italy. I did a fair bit of research on it when my friend was panicking about catching it like food poisoning from workers in restaurants and contaminated food.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Do they look for the common cold or influenza in sewage? In the case of the common cold the virus is not excreted with faeces, flu can be, it depends on the strain. With Covid it is only a very very small percentage. In the article I read in March it was something like 2% and they said it was only ...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

I saw the reports about testing sewage Tiz and thought it was a brilliant idea. It will show up there before any other method and give an advance warning. As you say, that and other methods aren't mutually exclusive and it is so cheap to do. It should be a default test like all the other tests wate...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

But WHY in that area? Is it wayward youths wandering the streets and refusing to stay home, a pub culture, small crowded households, small crowded shops? I don’t really understand. How is living in these areas contributing to the spread of disease? Pub culture, pubs aren’t open yet. All shops seem ...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

There is talk of a local lockdown in Rochdale, we are 4 th on the list but considerably lower than Leicester but too near the magic number. It seems the figures on June 21st are key but the numbers have dropped substantially this week . I put it on Rochdale facebook page, they took it off implying I...

I'm laughing at you Sue! (Good morning!) I see that your response to aching is to plan a day of work! I'd be having a rest. I think you must be a better Puritan than I am! I'm having a breather before second walk and breakfast after two hours in the shed doing useful things. I shall report later......
