Glad you had a good day yesterday Stanley. I looked up Short Clough Reservoir on Google earth, and I see my friend now lives very close to it at Bonfire Hill. You may have come across Richard Catlow in your History dealings Stanley. He did the same applied Biology degree as me, but became a journalist, local historian and writer as well as an avid Rossendale countryside supporter
Here was a bit dreary, I eventually decided to dry all my washing inside as there was a constant fine drizzle in the air and the occasional shower. It should be dry this morning. The forecast said 26 degrees but our thermometer showed 20. After our shopping expedition Bob fitted the cooker hob and I finished an oil painting I started years ago, but I finished it in acrylic as it dries faster. It is supposed to be a sheep chewing but I think it looks more like a lion
Today its the market at Malestroit, but we are mainly going for a walk and lunch at the Crèperie which we booked last week. We also want to check that the English second hand bookshop is open during the rest of August so we can take some more books. Its due to be sunny and 29 degrees but at the moment we really do have the August early morning mist which usually lifts by about 10.30. Have a good day all
