Yesterday the rain persisted until mid afternoon and we ended the day overcast but dry. It was still like that this morning and the glass is steady on 1021mb. The forecast is for a day dominated by overcast and heavy rain coming in this evening after 18:00. The southerly winds will be moderate all day and we can expect a high of 17C and a low of 11C tonight with as much as a -3C wind chill at times. The outlook is unsettled, cooler and wetter.

It started raining around 19:00 yesterday and rained all night. This morning it's wet and windy, still raining. The glass id down on 1005mb and the forecast is for us to have a dry spell from about 06:00 to 19:00 and then two yellow warnings for wind and rain kick in. The constant SW wind will gust to almost 30mph and we can expect a high of 16C and a low of 8C tonight with a wind chill of -2C all day until 19:00 when it shoots up to -4C. The outlook is for similar but cooler weather for the next four days and then back to sunny spells....

Just been for a walk, quite mild, just started drizzling as we got back, that has since turned to rain and light breeze.

Yesterday the rain stopped for a couple of hours mid morning but then returned with a vengeance later. It was dark early and I think it has rained for most of the night. This morning it is dry at the moment but we have a strong wind with gusts of 60mph. The glass dropped hard yesterday and this morning is still low at 984mb. The forecast is for wind and rain all day. The west winds will be strong and gust to 60mph. We can expect a high of 12C and a low tonight of 8C with a wind chill that will peak at -6C at times. A thoroughly wet and windy day! The outlook is for the rain and wind to subside but it will be broken weather all week.

You're much warmer than us Cathy. The high today is 12C but you have to subtract up to -6C wind chill!

The wind hasn't been as strong as that here yet Stanley. Our weather station seems to have stopped reporting online overnight but its back on now. Neighbours are showing gusts up to about 50mph.

I've just checked.... they are giving 57mph right now but of course that depends on where they're measuring. They are usually West of us. Whatever, I hope it doesn't affect you.

Yesterday was wet and windy! This morning we still have wind but the overcast is broken and at the moment it's dry. The glass has risen to just under 1002mb and the forecast is for a breezy day of sunshine and showers. The westerly winds will tend to the north at times and gust to 50mph. We can expect a high of 13C and a low tonight of 10C with -4C wind chill for much of the day. The outlook is for more overcast weather and similar temperatures..... No sign of Indian Summer....

Yesterday stuck to the forecast, it was a windy overcast day but it stayed dry. By nightfall the wind was dropping and this morning we have a moderate wind and heavy overcast. The glass has risen to 1017mb and the forecast is for a dry but heavily overcast day. The constant WSW wind will be moderate all day and gusts to 30mph. We can expect a high of 15C and a low of 10C tonight with a wind chill of -2C for most of the day. The outlook is for a week of cool overcast weather but mainly dry.

Yesterday was damper than forecast and it went dark early under heavy overcast. This morning first thing the overcast was broken and we had a cool breeze. It is still the same. The glass is up a touch on 1018mb. The forecast is for an overcast day with light rain from late morning on. The constant WSW wind will be moderate gusting to almost 30mph and we can expect a high of 15C and a low of 4C tonight with a wind chill of -3C for most of the day. The outlook is for cooler overcast weather.... Almost as though it's practising being November!

Yesterday the light rain came in by late afternoon. Much of last night was clear and we had a brilliant full moon. This morning it's overcast but dry and cool and we have a light breeze. The glass is steady on 1024mb. The westerly winds start light but become moderate. We can expect a high of 14C, a low of 9C and a wind chill that will get tp -3C this afternoon. The outlook is for very similar weather for the next week.

Yesterday the afternoon was mostly overcast and the wind had a nip to it but it stayed dry. This morning we have a light breeze, 100% overcast and it's dry. The glass has risen slightly to just below 1022mb and the forecast is for an overcast but dry day. The constant westerly wind will be moderate and gusts to over 30mph. We can expect a high of 15C and a low of 10C tonight with a wind chill of -3C for much of the day. The outlook is for slightly cooler, brighter weather. Remaining dry.

Yesterday was overcast and dull for most of the day. At least it stayed dry! There were breaks in the cloud cover during the night and a brilliant moon overhead... The glass has risen to just under 1018mb and the forecast is for a dry day with sunny spells from late morning onwards. The westerly winds will be light to moderate gusting to 25mph at times. We can expect a high of 14C and a low of 5C tonight with a wind chill of -2c all day, occasionally rising to -3C. The outlook is for similar weather, no changes forecast....

Yesterday we never saw the sunny spells and we had light rain all day except for a dry spell at midday. It was dark before seven. This morning it's calm and overcast by broken cloud. The Met Office says we have a clear sky but they speak with forked tongue.... The glass is up again on 1030mb. The forecast is for a clear day with full sun, I'll believe that when I see it! The constant westerly winds will be very light and we can expect a high of 15C and a low of 3C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook forecast is for another sunny day tomorrow and then cooler overcast weather for the rest of the week.

Yesterday the sun came in if a little later than forecast. By dusk it was overcast again and dark by 07:00. (The clocks go back an hour on the 26th of October.) This morning started with normal overcast but since then the cloud has come down and we have the fog that was forecast. The glass is steady on 1030mb. The forecast is for the mist to clear by 09:99 and we are told it will be another sunny day.The easterly winds will be very light and we can expect a high of 16C and a low of 8C tonight with only a slight wind chill all day. The next six days is forecast to be cooler and heavily overcast. No surprises!
(Word from Susan who is at Burghead in Morayshire that they are having sunny weather and warm enough for people to be swimming! I think they are hardier than me!)

Yesterday I saw no sign of the full sun we were promised and today looks like a re-run. This morning we have an almost clear sky, just a very thin layer of cloud. The forecast predicts mist but no sign of it as yet. The glass is steady on 1028mb and the forecast is for a dry day of heavy overcast. The constant easterly winds will be very light. We can expect a high of 15C and a low of 9C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook remains cooler and heavily overcast.
Later, at 04:00. The forecast mist has fallen.....

Yesterday was indeed a re-run of the day before. The low cloud/mist lifted around 09:00 and we had overcast for the rest of the day, no sign of the sunny spells until evening just before dusk when we had some late sun. It was clear at times during the night but this morning we have 100% overcast, dry and calm. The glass is steady on 1028mb and the forecast is for heavy overcast until early afternoon when we could possibly get some breaking of the cloud and sunny spells. Once again.... don't hold your breath! The constant light wind starts in the west and by midday has backed through the north and become an easterly. We can expect 14C for a high and 7C for a low tonight with negligible wind chill. No change in the outlook, dry, heavily overcast and cooler than today. Boring weather!

Yesterday was a rerun and I think today will be as well if slightly colder. At the moment it's calm and we have 100% overcast. The glass is up slightly on 1029mb and the forecast is for a calm overcast dry day. The constant northerly wind will be light all day and we can expect a high of 12C and a low of 8C tonight. The outlook has n't changed cool, dry overcast weather for the next six days.
