Spaces are not usually allowed in passwords, ether omit them or use a substitute such as a dash or underscore so that the string is contiguous.

Not my pass word. I have a good password but I have been refused a login and been asked to fill in a complex set of info from a phrase 29th February… Etc. Fill in 2 nd letter, 4 th, 6 th, 15 th 21 st and 27 th

This very difficult on a phone. I have a valid and apparently a very good password and my ipad has access. The same password has been rejected on the phone hence this test to check I am human

try login on a computer at the library if you have access to check / change password.
Iphones are above my pay grade but I suspect you might have a CAPS set issue , where it is holding capitols - android releases unless you double up shift first. Watch too for underscore and dash and other odd characters apple can have

Morning Sue.... so sorry to hear of the troubles. I can't help as I am useless with this sort of tech. I hope you find a way in!
I am suffering broken sleep patterns again but went back to bed for an hour and had 3 hours perfect sleep! I am now heading towards an hour in the shed with my castings and then watching it rain all day.

No image because I cannot get the programme to work. I have spent my time in the shed this morning on further refinement of the flywheel. This involved 30 minutes filing and polishing and then a final skim of the rim of the flywheel in the lathe. Now I want breakfast.

Morning

I have checked my password, i can log in and have done so on my ipad. I don’t really want to change this password as it is a good sound one ad easy to remember but classed as very strong apparently. This is the only one I have left to sort but to change it i can do it here if I have to. Thanks for your help anyway.

Its raining but warmer than expected. I am at Maxines this morning, i am still heavily congested but at least not infective. I think Maxine and Ian will be ok. Bob is going to the post office sorting office with ID as we haven’t had any post since a week last Friday and we both are waiting for things sent to us , in my case two weeks ago. The official answer is short of staff however I am waiting for buttons that took me ages to choose, the supplier won’t replace or refund until I am certain they have been lost in transit. Its getting very silly now being so long .

This afternoon I need to buy flowers for Taira and this evening I will give the flowers and present at the pilates class. I hope I am up to the classes afterwards. I did not do yoga last night as i am still struggling to breathe when I lie down. Have a good day all

Forgive my ignorance Sue, but how do you know when you are no longer infectious? Is it when the coughing and sneezing stops?

Colds flu etc are infectious a couple of days before the symptoms which is why they spread so rapidly and like Covid the infective stage has usually gone by day 5. Any remaining symptoms are the body trying to get rid of all the dead cells that were affected by the virus ie catarrh and coughing. If that changes colour to a yellow green it is a sign of a secondary bacterial infection . Mine is all clear or creamy coloured. I am now on day 11. This only applies to viral respiratory infections like colds and flu and now covid

Isn't it good to have authoritative advice like that on the site! I know I tempt faith but I can't remember when I last had a cold.... It is years ago.
Today I shall be in the shed working on my castings, My Shotwell app cleared up during the night so I can post the pic that should have gone out yesterday.

I reached the point today where I can't put off painting the castings any longer so I stripped the partially built engine down and I am ready for one of my least favourite jobs.... But that's for tomorrow, my next job is breakfast!

Morning

I had a good session with Maxine other than my worst fears being true. The fit of the sleeves was not right and I thought they would have to come out and be reset. After a lot of fiddling Maxine agreed with me which meant unpicking what was actually a finished garment. Neither Maxine nor I could work out what was wrong, all the seams matched all the stripes in the pattern were straight. Ah well its worth doing a good job. Bob fetched the post from the sorting office and the buttons were there and I think they match so that's a plus. The man at the sorting office was a bu bemused and seemed surprised that we hadn’t had any post for 10 days . Ironically we then had post !

In the afternoon I ventured out in the rain to get flowers from M&S for Taira and later took the present to the class. I wasn’t going to stay for the lesson but did in the end, though my head didn’t like all the ups and downs of the exercises. A couple of the other girls had brought Baileys and chocolates so we all toasted Taira at the end. I collected over £70 in total and managed to buy chocolates , flowers, a bottle of Prosecco and a presentation box of toiletries from Yves Rocher in France. I made the 50 wine coaster I put on the site last week. All in a good present worthy of a lovely lady and teacher

Today we are taking my widowed friend Wendy out for lunch. Its a long overdue lunch out, first planned for Bobs birthday way back in February, then Wendys in May. We are going to our usual haunt at the Lake, its a lovely pleasant restaurant, nice atmosphere, not too expensive and a lovely view even when it is raining. This evening is zoom pilates

Its supposed to be a fairly dry day, cooler than yesterday which hit 13 degrees. Have a good day all

As the broken day progresses it becomes apparent that a bit of thought about shed matters this morning would be a good Idea. I am at a stage where I could go in there now but it is far too early and anyway, the task is painting which needs better light and ideally the use of the welding bench in the back yard. The forecast is for a dry bright day so I have decided to have my breakfast now and go back to bed for second sleep. I shall do my painting later this morning outside in the yard. This makes much more sense!

Back up and ready for the morning now. I shall do my painting outside on the welding bench as soon as it gets light. It is still clear and dry out there if a bit windy!

Morning

A dry day is forecast. We had one yesterday apart from a very light shower about noon. We had a lovely meal and afternoon with our friend Wendy and it was nearly 4 when we got back. She had never been to the restaurant before and liked it very much being impressed with the prices, portion sizes and ambiance.

This morning Bob has a hearing test in Rochdale so I shall probably walk down with him and then wait for him at one of our two usual cafes before walking back. Lucy is coming this afternoon, I hope she is not held up like last week as it would be nice if she could finish her skirt for Christmas. She is off to France on the 19 th to stay with her grandmother there, who is a very good sewer and I think Lucy would like to wear her new skirt .

Have a good day all

Our regular Family History sessions in Colne Library have turned into social get togethers now, and we don't get many customers wanting help. This could be due to the library management ignoring our presence! Yesterday we all gathered at my house for coffee and then lunch. It was a lovely day despite the almost constant battering by squally showers!
Is there a collective noun for a group of chattering local historians?
