I started the day with chicken and veggies but then had black pudding and two eggs for second breakfast. This was so filling I missed dinner and ended the day with Chicken and veggies for tea.

I had chicken and veggies X three and cooked my sweet potato chips. I finished the pork belly and orange by freezing the gravy and harvesting the fat.....
I am now on the run in to the next cook in!

Three hot meals a day as I work my way through food already cooked and ready in the fridge. It saves a lot of time later in the week....

Sausage and mushroom tagliatelle washed down with the Malbec my son bought me for my birthday. All went down very nicely.

Not roast lamb anyway. . .

BBC the lamb trade

I think the cost may be a factor here. I was in Morrisons yesterday, and notice a half shoulder of lamb (knuckle end) on sale for Just under 25 pounds!

No wonder Stanley has changed from half a 'two shear' to chicken and belly pork.

Meat is being rationed David .... by price. My chicken, two pounds of hot and spicy wings for stuffing it and a decent sized piece of belly pork, all from local farms, costs almost £30. I don't have an order every week, I think probably four weeks out of six.....
I cooked buttered savoury swede for an extender and followed that with sweet potato chips yesterday. Today I shall get my pork belly in the slow cooker.
