Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon was bright overcast but dry and very acceptable. We had a quiet night under an almost perfectly clear night, a thin veil of cloud, not enough to obscure the moon. At the moment it's overcast with a very light west wind. The glass is steady on 1022mb and the forecast is very similar to yesterday but with the possibility of heavy showers in the late afternoon. The light wind will be westerly until they swing through the North into NE round about the time the rain starts this afternoon. We can expect a high of 18C and a low of 7C tonight. There will be a slight wind chill all day but never more than -2C. Tomorrow will be a cooler gloomy day but then we move back into brighter warmer weather for the rest of the week.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon saw a spell of cloud and significant rain. From the interference on the TV as I watched the snooker, there was thundery activity as well. By nightfall we had late sun and this was followed by an overcast but dry night. At the moment we have heavy overcast but it's still dry. The glass has risen and is on 1025mb. The forecast is for a dry day with heavy overcast until mid-morning and then gradually brighter sunny weather for the rest of the day. The moderate NE wind is constant and gusty all day and we can expect a high of 14C and a low tonight of 4C. The wind chill will be -3C for most of the day. The six day outlook is for brighter warmer weather as we move into May....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday we had rain part way through the afternoon, apart from that the day was okay. This morning the sky is looking very dark towards Blackburn, although we have sunshine still I don’t think it will last.
