The view of Barlick this morning; more streetscape than the sleetscape I posted the other day.

The ash tree beyond the gable end of our neighbouring property; the low morning sun catching its branches.

Grey and uninteresting this morning, so here's another one from yesterday.
Waddington Fell in the distance, early sunlight catching the trees in the foreground.

A trio of birds has introduced some interest in the black poplar tree outside my window; a blackbird, a pigeon and this little jobby.

A brighter morning, but slightly misty (as can be well seen in Wendy's picture in The View From Up Here).

Aren't clouds wonderful! No wonder Turner spent so much time trying to capture the image.

Re: Bank Edge View
The light yesterday afternoon began to emphasise the drumlins, seen beyond the bottom of Gisburn Road in this picture.

Re: Bank Edge View
You'd better explain what drumlins are for those who haven't come across them.....

Re: Bank Edge View
So now you are an instant expert on glacial moraines and erratics!
John Clayton's pic of a large erratic at Slipper Hill. Rolled down by the glaciers from the north, a good geologist could tell you exactly where it came from.

Having grown up on one, and live on one now, I'm quite attached to our drumlins. I'd love to get a good image of them.

Yes; good vantage point Stanley.

This is the reason why a view never gets boring in this country, the weather is constantly changing!

Re: Bank Edge View
Another one from sunset the other day; looking at the skyline by Brogden Lane.
Not sure if the fell on the right of the picture, which is part of the Forest of Bowland and seen south of Waddington Fell from our house, is Parlick.
