Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon was bright overcast but dry and very acceptable. We had a quiet night under an almost perfectly clear night, a thin veil of cloud, not enough to obscure the moon. At the moment it's overcast with a very light west wind. The glass is steady on 1022mb and the forecast is very similar to yesterday but with the possibility of heavy showers in the late afternoon. The light wind will be westerly until they swing through the North into NE round about the time the rain starts this afternoon. We can expect a high of 18C and a low of 7C tonight. There will be a slight wind chill all day but never more than -2C. Tomorrow will be a cooler gloomy day but then we move back into brighter warmer weather for the rest of the week.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon saw a spell of cloud and significant rain. From the interference on the TV as I watched the snooker, there was thundery activity as well. By nightfall we had late sun and this was followed by an overcast but dry night. At the moment we have heavy overcast but it's still dry. The glass has risen and is on 1025mb. The forecast is for a dry day with heavy overcast until mid-morning and then gradually brighter sunny weather for the rest of the day. The moderate NE wind is constant and gusty all day and we can expect a high of 14C and a low tonight of 4C. The wind chill will be -3C for most of the day. The six day outlook is for brighter warmer weather as we move into May....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday we had rain part way through the afternoon, apart from that the day was okay. This morning the sky is looking very dark towards Blackburn, although we have sunshine still I don’t think it will last.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Been for a walk, when the wind was blowing in the shade it was quite nippy, but out in the sun it was acceptable.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon was true to the forecast, quite breezy! We had late sun just before nightfall and then a quiet night with clear skies. At the moment it's clear and there is a sneaky east wind.... The glass is on 1026mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for a clear day with full sun. The constant East winds are moderate and gradually strengthen through the day gusting to almost 35mph this afternoon. We can expect a high of 19C and a low of 3C tonight with a wind chill of up to -5C this afternoon with the strengthening wind. May starts with a sunny very warm day but then we lose the sun on Saturday and enter a spell of cooler weather.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon was mainly sunny and the wind chill was not as bad as forecast. We have had a clear night with a full moon and that is the situation now. The glass is down a touch on 1020mb and the forecast is for a bright day with lots of sunny spells. The winds are light easterly until noon and then swing through the south to westerly for the rest of the day. We can expect a high of 21C and a low tonight of 6C with a -2C wind chill for most of the day. Saturday and Sunday are forecast to be heavily overcast and cooler with rain expected on Sunday. The rest of the week will be dry, bright and continuing cooler.
